Medical Information

Quest and Medicaid Programs

  • Participating medical plans: AlohaCare, HMSA, Kaiser Permanente, Kapiolani Health Hawaii, Queen's Hawaii and StraubCare Quantum.
  • Participating dental plans: AlohaCare, DentiCare, HMSA
  • If you do not choose a plan, one will be assigned to you.

Medical Cards

  • All children placed in foster care have Quest medical coverage by the state. If they do not have a medical card, request one from the social worker.

Women Infant and Children Program (WIC)

  • Nutritious food, health care referrals, nutrition education.
  • Foster children less than five years old may qualify.
  • Contact 586-8175 on Oahu and 1-888-820-6425 neighbor islands.

Psychological and Therapeutic Services

  • Mental health services are covered by Quest.
  • Children may qualify for free mental health services at their public school. Inquire with the school counselor.
